I think 24hrs cancel time you mentioned in STEP 5 is not true every time. As it depends on the flight is refundable or nonrefundable secondly it all depends upon booking website from where you are booking whether they give you an option or not.

Excellent info on saving money with flight bookings. I mostly use Skyscanner and simply by changing the flight dates after the initial search even by a couple of days either way has saved money on numerous occasions.

Hi, everyone, It’s good even after traveling a lot to read those posts because you can always learn something!! I agree that Momondo is great, after cleaning my cookies and never research a flight from my google account, because google have the best memory, I usually research on 3 to 4 different sites such as Momondo, Kayak. But to me the best one is JETCOST, I have been using it for years now and always found the cheapest flights on it. And I have never seen from a travel blog or heard on YouTube about JETCOST so here it is, you can try and see maybe it won’t work for you, but it does for me! Kayak is more expensive but offer multi countries option, then Momondo have good deals and the cheapest jetcost! In my honest opinion 🙂

Interesting for me as if I use another search comparing site it will often look cheaper as it is divided by the number of people. The number of people in my booking will include a baby! So, sometimes it looks way cheaper but it is due to the per person amount posted!

This year I was able book at $530 on AA round trip from Houston to Amsterdam . My buddy waited and prices jumped to $1400.
